The Transformation Launchpad® is an easy-to-use methodology of principles, tools and practices, enabling a coherent, consistent, accountable, and repeatable way to discover, assess, design, execute and realise value from business transformation and organisational change initiatives.


The Transformation Launchpad®  is based on a 4-phased process:


Phase 1: Discovery & Assessment; 

Phase 2: Design; 

Phase 3: Execution; 

Phase 4: Value Realisation


Important note: This methodology is applicable to all kinds transformational change, including digital transformation change, organisational design, process change, and many others.

Discover motivation and readiness for the transformation change

Phase one is critical to your transformational change journey as it sets the business goals that will become the pinnacle of success. To complete this phase, run a two-day workshop to discover or reaffirm the motivations for change, assess organisational readiness, and learn about the business scenarios that will enable adoption.


Step 1   Build your adoption and change team

Step 2   Identify key stakeholders and sponsors

Step 3   Define the strategic objectives 

Step 4  Document business scenarios and use cases

Step 5  Identify impact groups

Step 6   Conduct change risk assessment (CRA)

Step 7   Identify and mobilise resources

Step 8   Define success measures

Design the strategy that underpins how the people side of change will be delivered

You will design the blueprint for executing the transformational change in phase two. This blueprint will be your Adoption & Change Management Strategy.

Take action and execute your change plan

In phase three, you will set your adoption & change management Strategy into action. It is where execution happens, and like most strategies, the pathway to successful implementation lies with your executable plans available.


Work collaboratively with your change team and stakeholders to execute the change execution plans you created in phase two.

Apply momentum and accelerate to value realisation

In phase 4 - the final phase of Transformation Launchpad - you will accelerate to value realisation. 


However, you will only realise value when users adopt the change - in the short and the long term. Business success is, therefore, dependent on continuous usage and user satisfaction. Therefore, apply a strict application of reinforcement messages and demonstrate the value the change brings to individual users.
